Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi - Agra
Upon arrival in Delhi, met by our representative and
transfer to Agra(200 kms/4 hours) enroute Mathura. Visit the
famous Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Dwarkadheesh temple in
Mathura, Mathura is reputed to be the birthplace of Krishna,
Krishnajanmabhoomi. The Keshav Dev temple was built in ancient
times on the site of Krishna's legendary birthplace (an
underground prison). As per epic Mahabharata, Mathura was the
capital of the Surasena Kingdom, ruled by Kansa

maternal uncle of Krishna, after local sightseeing in
Mathura, you will be transferred to Agra, Agra is a city
on the banks of the Yamuna River in the northern state
of Uttar Pradesh, India. It finds mention in the epic
Mahabharata when it was called Agrabana, or Paradise. Ptolemy, the famous 2nd century
geographer, marked it on his map of the world as Agra. Tradition
and legend ascribe the present city of Raja Badal Singh (around
1475) whose Fort, Badalgarh, Stood on or near the site of the
present Fort. However, the 12th century Persian poet Salman
writes of a desperate assault on the fortress of Agra, then held
by one King Jaipal, by Sultan Mahmud of Ghazni. It was ruled by
Sultan Sikandar Lodi in the year 1506. It achieved fame as the
capital of the Mughal emperors from 1526 to 1658 and remains a
major tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal-era
buildings, most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur
Sikri, all three of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, go
for local sightseeing including Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.

Day 02: Gwalior
After breakfast, go for local sightseeing at Fatehpur Sikri.
After local sightseeing, transfer to Gwalior(120 kms/2 hours).
Gwalior occupies a strategic location in the Gird region of
North India, and the city and its fortress have served as the
center of several of North India's historic kingdoms. At present
also its strategic location is marked by the presence of major
air base at Maharajpura. In the evening, go for a sound and
light show at Gwalior fort.Dinner and overnight stay at Gwalior.

Day 03: Orchha
After breakfast, go out on a local sightseeing including
Tansen's tomb, City palace. After sightseeing, transfer to
Orchha enroute Jhansi(115 kms/2 hours).Orchha is a town in
Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh state, India. The town was
the seat of an eponymous former princely state of central India,
in the Bundelkhand region. Orchha lies on the Betwa River, not
far from Jhansi. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04: Khajuraho
After breakfast, explore orchha fort, temples and the beautiful
Betwa river by own, transfer to Khajuraho(190 kms/4 hours) in
the afternoon. Khajuraho is a village in the Indian state of
Madhya Pradesh, located in Chhatarpur District, Khajuraho group
of monuments has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
One of the most popular tourist destinations in India, Khajuraho
has the largest group of medieval Hindu and Jain temples, famous
for their erotic sculpture. The name Khajuraho is derived from
the Hindi word khajur meaning date palm. Dinner and overnight
stay at hotel.

Day 05: Khajuraho
After breakfast, go for local sightseeing including Western
group and Eastern group of temples, go for a sound and light
show at western group of temples in evening. Dinner and
overnight stay at hotel.

Day 06: Khajuraho - Delhi
Departure After breakfast, transfer to Jhansi(200 kms/4 hours)
railway station to board the Shatabdi Express for Delhi.
