Mahansar is a charming small town located in the Shekhawati region
of Rajasthan. It was established in the year 1768 and is approx. 40
km away from Jhunjhunu. The Sone Chand ki Dukan that dates backs to
1846 is one of Mahansar's most important attractions. It is the very
place where one can find gold leaves elaborately woven into the
paintings that adorn the walls. The dancing hall is one of the most
important attractions of Mahansar and is constructed in a very
elaborate manner. The hall also houses many paintings that are said
to have originated from the Bikaner school of paintings. |
