Welcome to Dera Rawatsar, a hotel run by the House of Rawatsar who trace their ancestry from Kandhlot Rathore clan of Rajputs. Rawatsar was an estate (Jagir) of the erstwhile Bikaner state. The chief of Rawatsar was amongst the four premier nobles of Bikaner.

At Dera Rawatsar you will be personally received by your hosts: Mrs. Veena and Mandvi. You will also have the pleasure of meeting a remarkable woman here: Padmashree Rani Laxmi Kumari Chundawat. She made a path breaking decision on abandoning Purdah in the feudal era and served three times in the Indian Assembly playing key role in complicated politics of that time. She is also a gifted story teller and a renowned scholar of Rajasthani folk tales and verse. She is blessed with two sons:- Rawat Ghanshyam Singh (Retd. Air Force Officer) and Sh. Balbhadra Singh, Director General of Police who is also a historian.
